It all began with the grandfather, who instilled a strong Dominican work ethic in his family. In 1989, he founded Compare Foods, which quickly grew to 25 stores. The family was always driven by the sacrifices their parents made when they migrated for a better future.

Now, the second generation carries the responsibility of taking the legacy further—adapting to change and uniting their efforts to maximize their impact. “It’s scary but exciting,” they say, trusting that progress requires risk.
