The Journey of an Immigrant: Support and Justice
At a critical time in U.S. history, immigration remains at the forefront of national debate. At the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights (NMCIR), we believe no one should face the process of becoming a U.S. citizen alone.

Each year, we help approximately 5,000 immigrants achieve citizenship, reunite with their families, and access benefits that enable them to remain active members of our community.

One such story is that of Carlos Rodriguez, a Dominican immigrant and New York resident, who was unjustly arrested for trespassing while visiting a friend. With no warrant or criminal record, he was detained for eight months, his life upended by an unfair policy.

Through the relentless work of NMCIR, Carlos was finally released. His case exemplifies the critical importance of providing guidance and support to those navigating bureaucratic and often discriminatory immigration processes.

Helping one person has a ripple effect—positively impacting their neighborhood, family, and workplace. NMCIR is a vital organization, and we need your support to continue this vision of justice and aid for all immigrants.

Join us in strengthening our community and making a lasting difference.
